Qualification Commission Policy on Registration of Hybrid Events

As per paragraph 0.2 of the FIDE Rating Regulations (FIDE Handbook B.02), tournaments need to be pre-registered by the federation in whose territory it is held.

Furthermore, for tournaments played under hybrid conditions, an individual approval of the Qualification Commission Chair needs to be obtained.

As a hybrid tournament may be played in different federations, the Qualification Commission takes the view that these tournaments require the approval of all federations in which a playing venue is located.
